Jugo Juice Customers Raise $10,500 for Local Food Banks

December 22, 2010 – From December 6th to 19th, Jugo Juice customers in Calgary and Vancouver were invited to donate $1 towards the “Share the Warmth” campaign in support of local food banks. And they responded! Thank you to all our loyal customers who participated in supporting this initiative and making a difference for those in need this holiday season. In summary, donations were made to the following charitable organizations:



Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank - $6000

Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society - $4500



”With over 75 locations in Calgary and Vancouver, we believe in supporting the community in which we operate” says Jason Cunningham, Jugo Juice co-founder. “The Share the Warmth campaign was successful primarily because of our loyal customers who came out to support a great cause this holiday season.”



About the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank

The Calgary Food Bank is a crisis facility to feed Calgarians in need. Individuals and families receive hampers containing enough food for approximately one week, up to a maximum of seven hampers per year. For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can distribute $4 of food.

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society (GVFBS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food and related assistance to those in need. The GVFBS collects and distributes food for up to 25‚000 people weekly through 15 food depots and over 100 community agencies located in Vancouver‚ Burnaby‚ New Westminster and the North Shore.
